Yes, actually he did I sent him an e-mail with it attached, and what Dane said about my artwork of him (back when he posted it on myspace) ... I had to really remember it because I can't find where I saved it, but this is REALLY close to what he said, if not exactly. I was super excited. I cried

"What can I say here except that I am blown away by this. Thank you for taking the time and talent into making something so rockin'. Maybe someday I can get it from you and hang it above a huge fireplace. I could hide behind it and look at people through my own eyes!"

Thanks for the compliment too! It's still in it's frame in my living room...leaning agains a sewing machine, but still. I need to call the framers to adhere it to the backing. It's starting to droop.

I'm so glad he got to see it because it really is badass. I knew he'd like it. Dane so awesome with all of his fans. I've written him before when I first got his cd over a year ago. My grandmother was constantly in the hospital and she and I would play Monopoly, then I heard his joke and told him how much he cheered me up when I was at the hospital with her. He prayed for my grandmother and even mentioned it in one of his Official letters to his fans. He's the best.

I can see Dane looking throught his own portrait in his fun-house...he's a goofy bastard.

Oh yeah, I silkscreened a shirt that says something about the monopoly game. It has "monopoly" on the front with a circle and a line through it, and it says "everybody had it, NOBODY liked it" and on the back it says "It's four in the morning Grandma! You win!" with a Su-fi. I love that shirt

I didn't even know about Dane's joke when he said that on his myspace, and then I heard the joke and just started laughing so hard...

Dane is a silly bitch.
